The 2026 MLB Draft is set to begin on July 11th, and while it's still a ways off, it's never too early to take a look at the past and see which picks have paid off for various teams. Over the past 10 years, we've seen MVP candidates, Cy Young winners, All-Stars, Rookies of the Year, and more. Some of these players have even gone on to have big-time success with different teams after being traded. So, let's take a look at each club's best Draft pick from the past decade and see which ones have really shined.
AL East:
Blue Jays: Bo Bichette, SS (2016, 2nd round) - Bichette has been a solid hitter since his debut in 2019, with a career .290 average. He's also shown some power, with 29 homers in 2021. However, his time with the Mets has been a disappointment, and his recent deal with the Jays is a sign of his value.
Orioles: Gunnar Henderson, SS (2019, 2nd round) - Henderson has been a solid player for the O's, with a career bWAR of 22.5 and a wRC+ of 126. While Adley Rutschman has had a great year, Henderson still tops him in these categories.
Rays: Joe Ryan, RHP (2018, 7th round) - Ryan has become a two-time All-Star for the Twins, with a 13.8 bWAR. He was a Cape Cod League All-Star in 2016, but the Rays saw enough potential in him to take him in the 7th round.
Red Sox: Roman Anthony, OF (2022, supplemental 2nd round) - Anthony has been a potential superstar, with a .292/.396/.463 slash line in his rookie year. He's also the third-youngest player in AL/NL history to homer and draw four walks in the same game.
Yankees: Cam Schlittler, RHP (2022, 7th round) - Schlittler has become an All-Star this year, leading the AL with a 2.01 ERA and ranking second with 131 strikeouts.
AL Central:
Guardians: Shane Bieber, RHP (2016, 4th round) - Bieber has had a great career, with a pair of All-Star nods and an AL Cy Young Award in 2020. However, he's dealt with elbow issues and Tommy John surgery in recent years.
Royals: Bobby Witt Jr., SS (2019, 1st round) - Witt has become the face of the franchise, with an 11-year, $288.8 million contract extension. He's one of baseball's best five-tool talents, with power and speed.
Tigers: Tarik Skubal, LHP (2018, 9th round) - Skubal has been dominant when healthy, winning back-to-back AL Cy Young Awards in 2024 and 2025. He's expected to be a big name in free agency this offseason.
Twins: Brent Rooker, OF (2017, supplemental 1st round) - Rooker has found a home with the A's, making the All-Star team in 2023 and 2025, with three straight 30-home run seasons.
White Sox: Garrett Crochet, LHP (2020, 1st round) - Crochet has had a great career, making two All-Star Games and leading the AL with 255 strikeouts last season.
AL West:
Angels: Zach Neto, SS (2022, 1st round) - Neto has been a steady performer, with back-to-back 5+ WAR seasons in 2024 and '25, and 49 homers and 56 steals combined over those two seasons.
Astros: Jeremy Peña, SS (2018, 3rd round) - Peña has had a great career, winning a Gold Glove and Championship Series MVP in his rookie year.
A's: Nick Kurtz, 1B (2024, 1st round) - Kurtz has had a great rookie year, winning a Rookie of the Year and Silver Slugger Award, and finishing the season with 36 homers.
Mariners: Cal Raleigh, C (2018, 3rd round) - Raleigh has been a great player for the M's, with 60 homers last year and an All-Star and Silver Slugger Award in 2025.
Rangers: Wyatt Langford, OF (2023, 1st round) - Langford has had a great career so far, with a .360/.480/.677 slash line in his pro debut and an All-Star starting nod this year.
NL East:
Braves: Michael Harris II, OF (2019, 3rd round) - Harris has been a great player for the Braves, with 17.1 WAR and an NL Rookie of the Year in 2022.
Marlins: Michael King, RHP (2016, 12th round) - King has had a great career, with three strong seasons as a reliever in the Bronx and then becoming a quality starter with the Padres.
Mets: Pete Crow-Armstrong, OF (2020, 1st round) - Crow-Armstrong has been a superstar, with elite defense, speed, and power. He could be a perennial MVP candidate.
Nationals: Jesús Luzardo, LHP (2016, 3rd round) - Luzardo has been a stable rotation option when healthy, and was just named to his first All-Star game this month.
Phillies: Bryson Stott, SS (2019, 1st round) - Stott has been a reliable hitter and basestealer, with double-digit homers and 24 or more steals in each of the last three seasons.
NL Central:
Brewers: Jacob Misiorowski, RHP (2022, 2nd round) - Misiorowski has been a certified ace, with a fastball touching 105.5 mph and picking up strikeouts by the bunches.
Cardinals: JJ Wetherholt, INF (2024, 1st round) - Wetherholt has had a great start to his career, with an all-around above-average hitting and one of the best defensive second basemen in baseball.
Cubs: Nico Hoerner, SS (2018, 1st round) - Hoerner has been a reliable hitter with gap power and basestealing savvy, and has won two Gold Gloves at second base.
Pirates: Paul Skenes, RHP (2023, 1st round) - Skenes has had a great career, with an ERA title and Cy Young Award in 2025, and an All-Star nod this year.
Reds: Andrew Abbott, LHP (2021, 2nd round) - Abbott has had a great career, with a 13.4 WAR to date and an All-Star nod in 2025.
NL West:
D-backs: Corbin Carroll, OF (2019, 1st round) - Carroll has been a great player for the D-backs, with a 30-30 season in 2025 and an NL Rookie of the Year in 2023.
Dodgers: Will Smith, C (2016, 1st round) - Smith has been a great player for the Dodgers, with three World Series wins and three straight All-Star nods from 2023-25.
Giants: Bryan Reynolds, OF (2016, 2nd round) - Reynolds has been a great player for the Pirates, with an All-Star nod in 2021 and '24.
Padres: James Wood, OF (2021, 2nd round) - Wood has been a great power hitter, with a 6-foot-6 frame and a second straight 30-homer season in sight.
Rockies: Hunter Goodman, C (2021, 4th round) - Goodman has had a great career, with an All-Star appearance and a Silver Slugger Award in 2025.
